Amy is a former special education teacher turned Patient Advocacy Program Manager for the Neuromuscular Disease Foundation (NDF). Growing up in a family of 4 siblings, all diagnosed with GNEM, they would often sit around the table and troubleshoot ideas and research devices to assist each other with daily living. Amy enjoys expanding her experience researching assistive devices into patient resources to help others find items that will help them with their daily lives.

She has a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a master’s in Special Education. Amy’s interests include taking Coursera specializations (she already completed Digital Marketing and is enrolled in Data Analytics), tutoring, learning Spanish, listening to audiobooks, being crafty in general (especially painting and photography), British murder mystery shows with her husband, and snuggling her dog, Lexi.
